Can You Actually Survive in the Twin Cities?

Seeking Advice 🙆

Hey, I’m 21 and thinking about moving to Minneapolis Saint Paul. The job market where I live now is bad, and I really like Minnesota. My plan would be to work in manufacturing making $23+/hr with overtime, rent a studio, and still have money left over to live and save.

I don’t have a degree but I do have factory experience. Is that realistic in the Twin Cities area right now? Is overtime common, and are there suburbs where rent isn’t crazy but there are still plenty of manufacturing jobs? Just trying to see if this move makes sense before I take the risk.
