I love Fallout New Vegas. It is one of my all time favorites and I genuinely believe it's one of the best games ever made. I love just about everything this game has to offer. Except for Dean fucking Domino. Dean Domino is a self absorbed piece of shit that has backstabbed, and will backstab, everyone he's ever known and will ever know for quite literally no reason at all, even to his own detriment.

Dean Domino was a singer before the war and friends with a guy named Sinclair. Sinclair was on top of the world. Rich with a hot new girlfriend. What could go wrong? Everything. That girl? A setup from Dean, they were planning to rob him. Why? Because Sinclair was an optimist. That's it. Sinclair was optimistic and that made Dean jealous. If that was where Dean as a character ended, I'd be fine. But I'm not fine. You meet Dean in Dead Money (dlc for New Vegas) and it's downhill from there.

Two things: I love happy endings and Dean Domino has exactly one dialogue option that locks you out of his happy ending. It's the Barter skill check pictured above. And here's our problem. Skill checks in dialogue are a good thing 99.9% of the time. I'm almost positive this is the only skill check in the entire franchise that acts like this. If you pass this skill check, which the entire game encourages you to do, you are locked out of Dean's good ending. Why? Because Dean Domino is an egotistical prick that can't handle not being in control for 5 minutes, even if it literally kills him! This is a life or death situation! He's wearing a fucking bomb collar! But let's put all that hold because your ego got hurt! Boo fucking hoo. \*\*I'M TRYING TO SAVE YOU, YOU FUCKING IDIOT!\*\*

I hate Dean Domino with the passion of 1000 suns. My last words will be "Fuck Dean Domino". I will grow old and my family will leave me because all the space in my heart is occupied by my hatred. Hating Dean Domino is the reason I get up in the morning. As long as Dean Domino breathes my existence has purpose and I don't wish to exist anymore. Fuck Dean Domino.

I hate Dean Domino.
