Looking for a place ✨

Hey everyone 👋

I’m arriving in Wellington at the end of March and trying to decide where to live. I’d like to be reasonably close to Newtown, but I also want good access to nature (walks, green spaces, hills, etc.). One important thing: I really want a sunny place. I’ve heard Wellington houses can be quite cold/damp if they don’t get much sun, so this is a big factor for me.

I’m planning to buy a car once I arrive, so I’m flexible with distance. I’ve been looking at Kelburn and Thordon, are these good options if I want:

- good sun exposure

- can still commute

- access to nature

- access to shops

- manageable drive to Newtown

- decent parking / car convenience

Or would you recommend other suburbs that get better sun but still tick those boxes?
