Genuinely what is wrong with people??

Ok look, I am NOT saying I’m hot shit or anything like that, so don’t get it twisted lol. But I have noticed a pattern from people I know personally who can’t get pregnant or don’t have kids for whatever reason, be super rude towards me since I got pregnant.

My brother’s girlfriend who desperately wants a baby basically said to me I was selfish for even having a baby shower in the first place and she simply couldn’t fathom all the “narcissism” in the room. And if she was pregnant she would never have a baby shower because it’s extremely “vain”. I was apparently selfish for having a nice wedding too.

I have an aunt by marriage who CHOSE to not have kids (despite being able to) and made snarky comments to my mom about me getting pregnant.

I’ve done nothing to these people but show kindness so why I’m getting attacked for having a kid (or maybe no reason at all?) is beyond me. Can anyone relate?
