Is Steam "News Hub / Recent Events & Announcements" important for coming soon game?

I never create a news/post in my steam game that are in "coming soon" state, I have demo, I updated it regularly.

I see many games post announcement regularly.

Is the News post important? like for visibility or potential customers.

As a customer/player myself, I actually never clicking the news or read it, I just don't care and read the game reviews instead.
