Dating a girl who lives on my apartment floor

So I’ve been taking to a girl that lives 3-4 doors down from me and we do fine over text, but she only wants to hang out maybe once a week. I’m used to girls coming around and never leaving lol. We’ve already discussed that we want this to be a real relationship. At the same time I’m not wanting to invade on her space. She’s kind of a recluse. She goes to college, walks her dog, goes to work, or sits at home and watches TV. I want to spend more time with her bc I’m starting to get lonely. Multiple girls are hitting me up wanting to hang out, but out of respect and the fact she could literally see a girl walk into my apartment I’ve been ignoring those hoes. Should my longing to hang out with her be a detriment to a relationship or am I just being needy?
