Posting Guidelines During Current Security Situation

Due to the ongoing regional situation and recent guidance issued by UAE authorities, we are temporarily tightening posting rules in this subreddit to reduce the spread of misinformation and protect members of the community.

Allowed posts

• General discussion about the situation

• Questions from residents seeking information

• Links to verified news articles from reputable outlets

• Official statements or announcements from government sources

Not allowed

• Photos or videos showing explosions, interceptions, debris, fires, or related incidents

• Footage of air defence activity or missile interceptions

• Posts claiming specific strike locations or incidents without verified sources

• Rumours, speculation, or unverified reports

• Screenshots of social media posts that cannot be verified

Content that falls into the above categories may be removed. In some cases this is also done for the safety of the poster.

This subreddit is not an official news source. For confirmed updates please refer to official government channels and established news organisations.

If you see posts that may violate these guidelines, please report them so the moderation team can review them.

These rules may be adjusted as the situation develops. Thank you for helping keep the community accurate, calm, and responsible.
