Do any (former) bookworms feel lucky in this era of brain rot?

Discussion

Seeing how my cousin's literacy causes him to struggle with youtube shorts, do any book readers feel like they got a lucky chance to make their brain in this generation? Have you noticed how phones are destroying peoples' ability for willpower to do anything in this generation?

From ages 7–14, I would read like a hundred books a year before succumbing to social media. As some fluke trophy, I had a high reading age, won some writing awards and have multilingualism. I feel like I would never have discovered my potential if I had access to tiktok and youtube shorts, which missed me by mere months before I graduated. I noticed that I've lost a lot of focus with my addiction, but at least I had a chance. I feel kinda scared that these kids do not
