Was I Close or Nah?

Just got put on the waitlist for Engineering and I’m just wondering if I was close or if I never had a good shot. My unweighted GPA was around 3.8 and I took a bunch of AP and College in the High School classes, with one through UW. I participated in and passed the Washington Aerospace Scholars program last year with a B. I started volunteering at a food bank this year and started volunteering at my library last year. This year I’m taking all of my classes through Tacoma Community College. I take piano lessons outside of school on my own time.

My best guess as to why I didn’t get in was extracurriculars, but I obviously can’t know for sure.
