Conflicted whether to continue a friendship if you have developed feelings?

I am a Virgo sun, Scorpio Moon and Rising. I have a guy friend whom I met a year ago and have established a great sense of friendship. He is a capricorn man. Needless to say, initially I never ever imagined it but I have fallen for him but he is emotionally unavailable since he has been going through a major breakup. I have not confessed my feelings, I am torn between keeping the friendship or to just let the friendship fade. I am conflicted, at one second my logical reasoning says 'we have dropped enough hints and we deserve someone consistent and safe' and another part of me says 'but you are going to loose a friend who gets you, maybe you will regret it. You don't have to cut off so quickly and what does this says about you? How can you cut off a relation like that maybe he will notice you acting weird' Its been 2 MONTHS i have been feeling this. I just cannot make a decision
