GMTI to counter multipath?

Ive been thinking and i was wondering if you could potentially use GMTI radar mode to counter low flying jets. I mean its used to target ground vehicles. Tbf my only experience with gmti is from test flying the premium f2 and i have no idea how it works, so id like to have more insight.
