Is S26 considered a worthy upgrade? Need opinions

I am holding a ROG phone 6 currently and I need a smaller phone. Will the S26 base model be considered an upgrade compared to ROG 6? This current phone has so many problems and there's not too much selection for a smaller sized phone currently.

The last Samsung phone i got is a galaxy Note 10+.
