Wife has deep resentment towards me

My wife of 7 years has this deep resentment towards me for the things I did and how I acted during my addiction like putting my addiction before anything else sadly. I’m trying to explain to her that wasn’t me but it’s so hard trying to tell a non addict that. Anybody else going through similar things and how are you dealing with it ? I’m not giving up no matter how much she says she’s done
