School of Nursing Rejection
I applied for Fall 2026, and today I got a rejection email. I have a 4.0 GPA (at least thats what the counselor put on my application), and I scored a 34.86. I had gotten an A in CHEM 108, a B in BIOL 223, an A- in BIOL 224, a B/B in BIOL 251, an A in STAT 152, an A in NURS 299, and a B+ in MATH 127. I am double majoring as of right now with Nursing/Pre-med so I'm pretty shocked at my performance overall, but I'm pretty devastated at not getting in this cycle. The counselor had told me that I was the 212th applicant, and that they have been raising the cut off scores because they had gotten rid of the HESI. I am planning to retake 223 this summer and maybe on top of it, MATH 127 if its offered during the summer to guarentee myself in. But I have no clue if I didn't get in because of the either the cutoff, or if because I was the 212th applicant. Any tips on what you would do in my situation? I am heavily leaning towards not going to a different nursing program because I would like to go to Kirk Kerkorians medical school so getting into UNLV's nursing program I feel as if would be a big help for me. And since I took most if not all of my classes at CSN, getting into UNLV's system would really help my med school application as well. Please help!
