I've been wondering this ever since I first beat Mega Man 6, but what was the point of Wily keeping up the Mr. X ruse after it's already fulfilled it's purpose of letting him more easily take over the tournament and reprogram the Robot Masters there.
Was it just for the lols and him wanting to get his money's worth out of the fake beard, sunglasses, and black cloak he bought?
