Third party PDI experience when buying a car

Hey guys, Planning to get a car soon mostly new, but I’m also open to a good used option.

Wanted to ask if anyone here has gone for a proper third-party PDI check before taking delivery. How was the experience? Did the dealer cooperate or create drama?

Also, has anyone done this for used cars here (dealer or direct owner)? Did it actually help catch issues?
