I was quite hesitant before buying a dehumidifier because I thought using the air conditioner’s Dry mode would be enough. However, after several humid seasons in Northern Vietnam—when the floors felt damp, clothes smelled musty, and light mold started appearing on the walls—I decided to invest in a dedicated unit.

The model I chose was the Kosmen KM-20N, with a dehumidifying capacity of 20 liters per day, designed for spaces under 20m².

After about 2–3 hours of use, I noticed a clear reduction in indoor humidity. The air felt noticeably drier and more comfortable. What I particularly like about this unit:

* It operates quietly and isn’t too noisy at night
* It has a laundry drying mode, which is very convenient during long rainy periods
* It automatically shuts off when the water tank is full, so there’s no risk of overflow
* It has a compact design that doesn’t take up much space

Of course, this is not a high-capacity model for large living rooms or multi-story houses. But if you need humidity control for a bedroom, home office, or small apartment, it’s a reasonable option within its price range.

Based on my personal experience, a dedicated dehumidifier is still more effective and stable than relying solely on an air conditioner’s temporary Dry mode.

I hope this sharing is helpful for anyone considering buying a dehumidifier for the humid season 😊

Is the Kosmen KM-20N really effective for rooms under 20m²?
