What was your inspiration behind naming your pets?
I (read my family, I was a young teen back then) have taken care of multiple cats since 2018-19.
-
Pussy - named by my now late grandfather, for him cat was equivalent to pussy
-
Shiro - named after Shinchan's dog (black and white kitten)
-
Kitty - named by my school junior who came to my house on the day Kitty was brought home by her mother Pussy, her inspo was Hello Kitty
-
Kittu - named by me, inspo was Kartik's nickname by his grandmother (from the show YRKKH Gen 2) and I also wanted the name to resemble Kitty as Kitty died as a kitten, she only lived for 6-7days in our house
-
Oggy - after "Oggy and the Cockroaches" cartoon
-
Ginger - because he was an orange kitten, the first orange kitten in my house
-
Santru-Santari - they were siblings, Santru is male orange cat and Santari was female orange cat (Santari died due to electric shock a little far away from our house)
-
ChomChom - named after a sweet, named so because I was eating that sweet when his mother Kittu brought him outside of his birthing place and looked at me like now it is my responsibility to raise the kitten, her responsibility was to only give birth
-
Biskoot - looked orangish, like Marigold biscuit color
-
Sooji - a complete black cat, named randomly because I wanted to name the 3 siblings after food items. He was killed by another stray cat when he was 1 months old.
-
Rohinga/Rongila - a stray cat who randomly hizacked our house. We first named him Rohinga, as in people who migrate illegally, but my grandmother named him Rongila, because she has yellow, orange, grey, white all color furs.
Currently I only have Chomchom, Santru and Rongila in my house. Rest have either died or went missing.
