What do you think of Paul Mescal immense hate and facing backlash for not liking cats?

A video went viral of him and Jessie Buckley not liking cats and they're being demonized now especially on various reddit subs. I get Buckley getting her husband to give up his cats is bad form but Paul just doesn't like them and people are doing a 180 on him now. So we can't say we don't like certain types of animals now or face the wrath of the internet. Not liking cats doesn't mean you want any harm to come to them, you're not going to like every animal species that doesn't mean you're a bad person.
