Vibration & trigger noise during games

Hello everyone. I bought my PS Portal two days ago, and yesterday while playing Ratchet and Clank and Spider-Man 2, I noticed that the vibration during fights is very loud — almost like something inside the device is struggling. Also, when I open the in-game menu, I hear a clicking sound from the triggers.

Do you think this could be a hardware defect, or is it just a software issue?
