TCS Internship Location Choice (₹25k stipend) – Hyderabad vs Pune vs Chennai for a female intern?

Hi everyone,

I recently got an internship opportunity at TCS for an AI-related role this summer (about 2–3 months). The stipend is around ₹25K/month. During the application they asked for location preferences and the options are: Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad.

A bit about me: I’m a girl and this will be my first time living in another city alone for a few months.

My main concerns are:

• Cost of living (PG/hostel + food) with a ₹25K stipend

• Safety for a woman living alone

• General intern/student friendliness of the city

• Tech exposure / work environment

Right now my preference order is:

1. Hyderabad

2. Pune/ Chennai

Does this order make sense? Is ₹25K enough to manage in these cities for a short internship

Would really appreciate advice from people who have interned in these cities or worked at TCS offices there.
