AI knows everything – what should learning look like for my kids(8-12Y)

Teaching Resources

Meanwhile, our kids just… walked into it. Same schools. Same textbooks. Same "memorize this, regurgitate that." Nobody stopped to ask — if AI already knows everything, what should learning even look like for an 8-year-old?

That question has been eating at me. So I started building something called SearchSaga.

The idea: what if every subject was a story, not a lesson? The camera didn't just appear — it started with a dark room, connected to glass, which connects to sand, which connects to microchips. Every topic follows 7 stages of evolution, and every story branches sideways into surprising connections. Kids don't study. They swipe, discover, and go "wait — sand made my phone screen?"

Core Mechanics:

7 Stages — Every topic follows the same evolutionary arc: The Itch → The Mutation → The DNA → The Birth → The Growth Spurt → The Territorial Fight → The Offspring

Cousin Connections — Swipe left on any card to discover a related topic from a completely different field. Camera → Glass → Sand.

Right now it's a working prototype — 3 connected stories, 90+ cards, swipe nav, a mini-map that tracks your exploration(soon). Next up: an AI pipeline to generate thousands of these interconnected stories, with voice narration(Elevenlabs/Whisper) and visuals(Grok).

MIT licensed. Free forever. No paywalls. Link: https://searchsaga.vercel.app/ Repo: https://github.com/aadivar/searchsaga (pnpm dev to try)

But I'm not here to just show my thing. I genuinely want to hear from this community:

  - How are you thinking about your kids' learning in an AI world?
  - Does "everything is connected" beat "memorize these facts" as a model?
  - What would you want your kid's learning tool to actually do?
