Whats is happening now?

i am not playing this game since the second scavenger battle pass (After the neo-ravagers event of exploding Loyd)

i saw a post while scrolling and now i am curious about the state of the game.

What new weapons came? new cabins? Why are people making boats? (Do they made Boat battle mode?)

what bizarre shit is happening on the lore? that 2 girls that was robbing deposits of the steppenwolves in the mini-passes did something crazy?
