What’s a hiring hill you’ll die on, even if the industry disagrees?
I’m curious what opinion you hold about hiring that you know will get pushback but you stand by anyway, could be about resumes, culture fit, take-homes, referrals, interview rounds, remote work, whatever. Every team swears their way is best practice, but half of modern hiring feels like inherited tradition nobody questions anymore.
What’s the take you believe in based on experience, even if it’s unpopular?
