Course Difficulty Question for Admission

Hey guys, I was just wondering if master application care if you take the harder courses? For example, there are both courses that full-fills the same requirements for a degree but one of them is more rigorous and challenging. I would like to know if grad admissions care about if you take the harder version of the course? Do they know the differences between the courses? Thank you.
