The Chemist (The Mad Hatter)

4.6 m/s — 32m Terror Radius — Average

The Chemist is a neurological "Area-Denial" killer who uses mercury vapors to deteriorate survivor motor skills. By forcing survivors into "The Shakes," he transforms the trial into a chaotic dance of involuntary movements and sensory overload.

Base-Kit / Passive: Quicksilver Erethism

\* The Tremors: Hitting Survivors or exposing them to Mercury Clouds builds Erethism Tiers. As mercury builds up in their system, survivors lose control of their character's stability.

\* Contaminated Workstations: The Hatter can "Carrot" (taint) Generators, Pallets, and Chests. Interacting with a Contaminated resource inflicts Erethism progress and causes the survivor to cough loudly every 7.5 seconds.

\* Twitchy Reflexes: The Hatter has a 10% faster recovery speed from successful Basic Attacks but suffers a 10% longer stun duration from Pallets due to his own neurological instability.

\> Special Ability (M2): Mercuric Mist

Projectile/Area Cloud — 12m Range — Duration: 15s — Cooldown: 8s

\* Dispense: The Hatter flings a vial of mercuric nitrate that shatters, creating a 6m Mercury Cloud. Entering the cloud instantly adds 25% Erethism progress and applies the Blindness status.

\* Lingering Toxicity: Survivors standing in the mist suffer from a constant "Coughing" animation that interrupts healing, searching, or repairing actions for 0.5s every 3 seconds.

\> Erethism Tiers

\* Tier 1: Irritability

The survivor’s camera occasionally "twitches" (small random jerks). Faint, nonsensical whispering replaces the edge of the Terror Radius.

\* Tier 2: The Hatter’s Shakes

Survivors suffer from Involuntary Tremors. Every 10 seconds, the survivor performs a sudden, forced 0.5s "Dash" in a random direction, often causing them to run into walls or out of loops.

\* Tier 3: Sensory Delirium

The survivor is Oblivious. Fake "Red Stains" appear behind the survivor or around corners to mimic the Killer's presence. Skill Checks move 20% faster and rotate in reverse.

\* Tier 4: Acute Toxicity

The survivor is Exposed. Their character model visibly shivers, and they suffer from Inverted Controls for 3 seconds every time they enter a chase.

\> Counter: The Antidote Tea

\* Tea Sets: 5 Ornate Tea Sets spawn on the map.

Cleansing: Survivors must drink the "Antidote" to reset Erethism to Tier 0. This takes 8 seconds but inflicts the survivor with the Hindered status for 10 seconds after completion.

\* The Cost: Drinking the tea causes the survivor to laugh hysterically for 10 seconds (Loud Noise Notification), alerting The Hatter to their location.

\> Unique Perks

\* Six Impossible Things: After a generator is completed, the 3 generators with the most progress explode, regressing by 10/15/20%, and are blocked by the Entity for 15/20/25 seconds.

\* Off With Their Heads: When a survivor is rescued from a hook, the rescuer suffers from the Exposed status effect for 20/25/30 seconds if they are healthy.

\* A Mad Tea Party: For every survivor currently suffering from a Negative Status Effect (Exhausted, Oblivious, etc.), gain a stackable 3/4/5% bonus to Vaulting and Pallet Breaking speeds.

\> Add-Ons

\* Dormouse’s Teacup (Iridescent): Survivors at Erethism Tier 3 or higher can no longer see the Auras of Tea Sets.

\* Mercury-Soaked Felt (Purple): Increases the size of Mercury Clouds by 50%, but clouds now dissipate 5 seconds faster.

Legendary skin could be of Johnny Depp's, Hatter colour pallet.
