Can I boost signal between TRV and wireless receiver?

I have a V3 setup and it has been running well for over a year. One bedroom (the furthest from the boiler) has always had an issue with the TRV chewing it's way through packs of batteries, but more recently it has been failing to change to it's scheduled temperature. If I stand next to it with my phone app, and flip the temperature up and down, it will eventually realize and change, but left to it's own devices it will stay cold

Q. So do the TRVs talk to the wireless receiver, or the Internet bridge (or both) to get their instruction?

Q. I could possibly find a new location for the Internet bridge, but the wireless receiver is hardwired to the side of the boiler and can't be moved.... Is there any way to amplify/boost it's signal??
