Got told at airport security that film was safe to scan till 3800 ISO after telling them I had 3200 film..
I always carry a Ilford 3200 with me when traveling as an excuse to manual check at airport security.
This time at Toulouse airport (France) when I asked and explained that I had a High speed film that would get ruined by the scanner, the security dude went and asked his colleague that was sitting at the scanner and his colleague asked me the film speed. When I told him 3200 he then replied to me not to worry, that film up to 3800 ISO is safe.
I gave up as my actual film was 400ISO and I wasn't worried about a single pass, but it got me thinking: Did that dude just randomly made up that 3800 number on the spot after I told him 3200? would he have said 6400 if I'd told him I had 6000iso film lol
side note: The 3200 film I carry around has been ruined for a while, it's just my travel buddy.
