Should I move to another fix energy tariff now or wait?

A lot of noise around energy price cap changing in April with the added complication of Iran and the effect that will have on energy prices and the cap come July.

Im currently on a fixed tariff with Octopus until October with no exit fees.

I’m pretty switched on with this stuff but it feels to have gotten slightly confusing the last couple of weeks. I’ve seen advice to those NOT fixed to fix now, but what about those of us that are fixed?

Is it worth me moving to a new provider now to guarantee a longer fix, or is it worth staying put and seeing what happens?

For reference - 2 people in the house , no kids.
