Domestic travel with niqab safe or not?

السلام علیکم ورحمة الله وبركاته

Asking on behalf of someone I know that practices niqab (with gloves and eyes covered, but she can be convinced to remove the eye part) and is set to travel domestically (South India) via flight. Unfortunately she has to travel alone.

Considering the situation regarding islam in India. Is it generally safe to travel with niqab?
