Aight so feeling abit down rn

SOOOOO, a little while ago I finally stumbled into the safari zone hoping I could expand my pokedex abit. Wasn't going too bad so far, was catching a good amount of pokemon. The problem lies with something else, you see I was trying to find a Scyther or Chancey to try to catch and LOW AND BEHOLD A SHINY NIDORINA APPEARED!! (I lost it immediately)

Sadness aside, im curious whether or not the shiny water were actually somewhat boosted on the switch releases?

Anyone else?
