Storing smoked salmon, vacuum sealed in freezer?
Hello I read about it a bit, so I just want to double check: I like to buy salted, smoked salmon (this exact one) but it's often too much eat in a reasonable time frame. It is not frozen, but refrigerated and packed under protective atmosphere according to the label.
Now, if portioned it into smaller packets, vacuum sealed and frozen it in the freezer; defrosted it in the normal fridge with the vacuum sealed package removed, it should be fine right? I could store the packets for a few weeks and defrost as needed right?
Thanks for the feedback.
