👋Welcome to r/logh_deep_thoughts - Introduce Yourself and Read First!

Hey everyone! I’m one of the founding mods of r/logh_deep_thoughts — welcome.

This is a substance-first community for people who’ve watched/read Legend of the Galactic Heroes and want to go deeper on the ideas the story plays with: politics, history, geopolitics, military strategy, and political philosophy.

Think of LoGH as our shared reference point, and real-world history/theory as the toolkit we bring to the table.

##What to post (examples)##

· Arc/character discussions that focus on institutions, incentives, propaganda, legitimacy, reform, etc.

· Strategy breakdowns: objectives, constraints, logistics, doctrine, risk

· “LoGH reminds me of ___ in history/theory because…” (with sources)

· Well-formed questions that invite thoughtful debate

##A couple simple norms##

LoGH familiarity required. Spoilers are allowed—please flag major spoilers in titles. Factual claims need sources. If you’re stating something as fact (dates, numbers, quotes, “X caused Y”), please include a citation/link. Interpretations are welcome—just frame them as your take and explain your reasoning.

##How to jump in##

Introduce yourself in the comments:

· Which version you watched/read (OVA / DNT / novels)

· One LoGH theme you’d love to discuss here A topic you can bring sources for (history case, theory, doctrine, etc.)

· Glad you’re here. Let’s keep it welcoming, curious, and worth reading.
