I hate how weird people are about visible nipples

When I was in seventh grade I was a ballet dancer and a contemporary modern dancer and we had this one peice for our recital where the director had ordered us these spandex skin tight dresses and then she acted super surprised that our nipples showed through them and since she had made this error in choosing our costumes for us she made a huge deal about "Your daddies are not going to like this." and made us all wear this ugly ass chiffon ponchos over our necks.

It totally ruined the costume and honestly the dresses weren't really anything out of the ordinary, you see big name company dancers wear stuff that fitted all the time.

I saw dancers on the cover of magazines with their nipples more visible than mine and mine are pretty pointy under my clothes.

I don't really like how prominent my nipples are but I really really hate how big a deal people make about seeing nipples under clothes.

They're just part of the human torso.

its so stupid.

I get that my director was probably trying to avoid backlash from helicopter parents but I really just wish nobody cared.
