Heather Cox Richardson (I cannot say enough how much this lady's infested my brain) released another Politics Chat **(this short is just a little part of it, please go watch the full thing on her channel if you can)** and it reflected a sentiment I and many other people here have been sharing that I think needs to be spread everywhere, especially to people who are still doubtful that we can win this and win it *hard*.

I have a lot of various disorganized thoughts so I'm gonna try not to ramble, but basically as people here have already said time and time again:

All these news headline escalations that the admin and the people in it are doing are not the actions of people who are confident in what they're doing.

They're just throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks, and oftentimes literally nothing does because not only are they incredibly stupid and short-sighted (they don't even know wtf they're gonna do about the thing they started in Iran, they just thought bombing them would be cool and smart), but also because people hate them and what they're doing anyway! Even their own constituents!

It's bonkers that we're already at the "let's start a war to gain patriotic support!" phase (and, according to rumours, they're trying to make it a religious war too which... yeah, sure, I bet fabricating "Armageddon" for Jesus is a very unifying message to the US military, especially coming from Whiskey "I fire top brass because Trump thinks they're scary and bad" Pete, but pop off I guess) because like, really, that's a surefire sign that they're gonna be gone soon and they know it.

Mind you, we're a year in.

Why else would they be threatening to rig elections? Or are trying to recycle their old campaign promises that they broke already as soon as they got into office because they thought they didn't need their base anymore?Or are making multiple different terrorist databases in the DHS and are rapidly rearming the agents to the teeth because they think normal civilians protesting in their neighborhoods are part of some underground leftist terror organisation, all in a last ditch effort to create a police and surveillance state? Or are literally trying to take whole entire groups of people's rights away every single week because they basically have no willing support anymore?

Honestly, I feel like it's not even that you truly can't make a fascist dictatorship in the US, I think these guys just aren't good enough.

If I've learned one thing over the past year, it's that trouble brings opportunity. They've fucked up and fucked up and fucked up and fucked up over and over and over again, and we have the chance to nip this all in the bud to set them back decades and force them to start from scratch when those decades are over, because mind you, they've been plotting this for 50 years! Everything Trump has been doing is what republicans have been doing for decades, it's just that this time they're just mask-off (of course the Trump admin would be, eugh 😒). We have the opportunity to finally rid the world of this crap, and all it's enablers along with it!

And honestly, I think we should take the opportunity with as much urgency as humanly possible. Not just to stop this once and for all, but to really drive in the point that they only got where they were in 2025 because they got lucky and we let them.

So - with all that said - let's put these assholes in their places, people!

"I See A Flailing Regime."
