For tall hikers: Osprey worked for me, Deuter EL didn’t
I’m 1.95 m (6'5"), and I’ve had a really hard time finding backpacks that actually fit. I especially hate ending up with the hip belt sitting around my belly button.
If you’re around 1.95 m / 6'5", I’d say avoid the Deuter EL line. I tried them and they were still too short for me
I have two Osprey packs that are excellent
- Osprey Kestrel 48 for multi-day trekking
- Osprey Talon Velocity 30 for 2-3 day hikes or day hikes
They’re really well designed, comfortable, and most importantly, they actually fit my torso.
I’m not looking for advice, just sharing my experience in case it helps other tall people !
