Hello. Newbie here, never stepped foot in a boxing gym before, but i plan to in the future.
As stated, i have absolutely no experience AT ALL in boxing or any other type of similar sport. Got a few weeks, maybe a month of bjj in my resume, but not relevant.
I have a few questions i'd like to ask, and i would appreciate if someone could answer them.
I have an old boxing bag and a pair of gloves at home, and i wondered if there are any exercises that could help my body get more "accustomed" to boxing before actually starting in a gym? I have seen people talk about how it'd give you bad habits that would be hard to let go later, so that's why i decided to ask here.
And about sparring, how intense is it actually? I don't plan on learning to get myself into trouble or out of it- maybe self-defense at most, and i also don't plan on getting into competitive boxing, but i know sparring is extremely good to get a proper feeling of the mistakes you make. However, just thinking about it makes me a bit nervous, knowing i would definitely go against people way more experienced than me, so any clarification would be nice.
(4 am here and i'm still learning my abc's in english, so apologies for any mistakes i may have made in the post.)
