AITAH for liking my best friend while she has a girlfriend?

In November of 2025 a new girl came to my school (C) and started dating my friend at the time, L.

L and C dated for a short 2 weeks and ended on mediocre terms but L was very mad that my friend group wanted to stay friends with her. Our group didn't end up picking between them and L stopped being our friend because of how much she was around. There was a whole entire scandal and we are long story short very close with C but not L.

Whilst L &C were breaking up I developed feelings for C but never openly shared them and it was a mild crush. Last week (feburary) me and C went to a gas station where she told me that she used to like me but now she has a girlfriend. I opened up about how I liked her aswell and we havent told anyone because we dont want any awkwardness. Now C and I have became closer and I have realized I've had these feeling but never openly let myself think about it.

Her and her girlfriend are very happy and I have no intentions of breaking up the two, I just don't know where to go from here.
