About a week ago, I [posted](https://www.reddit.com/r/edrums/comments/1r9uju4/what_2_months_of_beginner_drumming_looks_like_in/) here about an analysis that I did on my MIDI data and got way more interest than I expected. A bunch of you asked if you could try it, so I spent the last week putting together a test version of an app.

I called it Herta and its on TestFlight for iPhone, iPad and Mac. Sorry to the Windows and Android people, I know a few of you asked, its iOS/macOS only for now.

It connects to your kit over bluetooth or USB MIDI, records your session, and shows you the detailed analysis — velocity, coordination, timing, hand balance, etc.

Also added progress tracking since last time — you can see how many hours you've practiced, practice streaks, and how your consistency changes over time. Been cool to see my own stats build up over the weeks.

Someone mentioned the eDrumin and other non-standard midi setups. Right now it supports 340+ drum modules and tries to auto-match your device but if yours doesnt work let me know, I can probably add it.

I would really appreciate any feedback: what works, what doesn't, what metrics are useless, and what you wish was there. Drop it here or in a DM.

Thanks for the support on the last post, was not expecting that at all.
