freya hawks/molleees korea travel tourism

okay so there’s these british influencers/content creators on tiktok, freya hawks, her videos are centred around fashion and travel. she lived in korea with her sister for the last 7 years i believe and recently moved back to london.

anyway her and her sister recently posted on ig a video of them promoting a tour of seoul with them… with their exact remarks being “expect a bit of culture, neon lit nights, insider k beauty. fashion sampling…”

reading it i thought this is borderline cultural exploitation. they are not korean, are not from seoul and taking away from actual korean tourism by promoting this influence tourism all the while making money from actual people who want to show their OWN culture and country and celebrate it! ifs feels very tacky and like i said exploitative!
