How to Double Peek

Hello, valorant is my first FPS game, so no previous experience and I am currently silver 1.

I feel like I am missing some concepts and I couldn't find anything on YouTube related to these, so please help

First of all what should I do when someone ask me to peek with them? Should I stand beside them (I am afraid of blocking their movement) or like front/behind of them? Is this what is called double peek? When I try to peek with them I instantly die, is this the purpose of this mechanic maybe for trading?

I usually play off angles because my aim is not so good, i have low hs rate. My teammates sometimes get angry at me for not "peeking with them" I seriously don't know how to or when to do it. Should I suppose to follow my teammate all the time to find any moment to peek with them when they didn't say anything beforehand? as you see I am silver so not so good at following everything going on the map :/

Also can someone explain when it is necessary to double peek? What is the purpose and expected result, what is the ideal scenarios to play this?
