Best friend does not text back

So I have a friend of over 10 years, who I call my best friend. We both met in high school and have always been texting back and forth for years even when we both have a full time job. We would update each other about our lives frequently, almost on a daily basis, and I really enjoyed that kind of relationship. We would also meet up frequently at least once every two weeks for a meal or a day out somewhere, and travelled together abroad.

Fast forward I got married and moved overseas. I was still working so we texted and shared about our corporate woes as frequently as before. We would call each other too. However since last year I stopped working and decided to become a full time homemaker. Since then, I’d still share about my life but she started responding slower and slower, and eventually she would ignore my texts and start a new conversation. I assumed she was stressed about her work and didn’t have time to respond to my texts so I would continue off from her texts, but she would reply to them either and the cycle would repeat.

Then once she just completely ignored me for a full month. I was really worried about her and decided to double text her. She replied me a few days later saying sorry, and then sent me a photo of herself wearing makeup and asked me if she looked good in it.

That was 6 months ago. We continued texting but the same happened, I was getting ignored. Honestly I am not sure what is going on, I’m wondering could this be my problem or is it because we can’t connect anymore since I’m not working? She is flying to visit my country a few months later, and she had just sent me a photo of her flight details expecting me to be present for her. I’m not sure why but I feel used, although I know she is not the type of person who would use others to her own benefit. The reason why I feel used is because I have told her prior to her booking her flight that my husband might be busy during the dates she’s visiting but she still chose to visit on those dates.

I’m not sure what to do in this situation. Does she still want to be friends with me or am I overthinking?
