App checkin incomplete

In the past, I’ve always attempted to check on via the app but always supplied the photos (when they allowed a sites photo) and passport info. Last night I selected a boarding time only and I’m about to scan passports. I was a little confused since there wasn’t a “save” option but I understand that the system automatically saves. Once I scan my passports, the checkin will still be incomplete because I don’t have the means to get live selfies from everyone until later. We plan on just doing that at the port since they always require one anyway. My question is, if I leave that page (not back out but just close the app) will my boarding time still be saved? I’ve left the app open all night just in case. I want to do other things in the app today but having never completed checkin via app without the photos, I’m unsure, and don’t want to lose everything.
