What is it with single guys doing all the chat but then when it gets to the meet bit......suddenly come up with all the excuses

Bit of background, Me (male) used to meet couples many years ago (25 years ago) had some great times :-) met some great couples played my part in their fantasies and had a great time.

Met my now wife 23 years ago. Had a few experiences together in the early days, two threesomes with a friend and one spur of the moment threesome with a guy we met out one night. Over the last 15 years we have always talked had the fantasy play and she knows I would love to see her with another guy. Made various attempts over the years to just get fed up with the single guy (or pretending to be single) letting us down. Tried again recently through this site........loads of chats, thought we had found one, arrange a met for Sunday (social meet).....sure enough the messages come in...."Stuck at work" these guys are so full of shit!!
