Identification of an old "all in one" record player
Hi everybody! I had a question for the hive mind.
When we were teenagers in the 70s/80s, my brothers and I had a "all in one" record player as a second system that we could enjoy out of the sight (and audition) of our parents. But contrary to the current suitcase players, for this system the speakers were not integrated in the body of the player, under the chassis, but were part of the cover of the "suitcase" thing; and this cover could be separated from the main body, and again separated in two so the "speakers" (which were of course, let's say, not of the best quality) could be installed on left and right of the player and allow for a minimum stereo effect and sound separation, and minimise vibrations.
Problem is, I have totally forgotten the brand and name of this record player that we enjoyed for many years. I still have most of the 7" that we played on it and danced on with our cousins. They are mostly pretty trashed, but granted, it was not only the fault of the record player: we didn't really take care of those 45t 7" things at that time.
I have done a search on the internet but have found nothing looking like I have described. Would any of you have any idea of which brand and player this could be?
Thanks a lot!
