Is the 9-to-5 actually dying or is that just internet hype?

I keep seeing people say AI, remote work and side hustles are going to kill the traditional 9-to-5 job. But when I look around, most people I know still work normal jobs and depend on them and most jobs still seem structured that way.
Do you think the 9-to-5 model is actually fading, or is it going to stay the default for most people?
