First time that I noticed LRT 2 Araneta-Cubao station's 3rd track or platform, which is lower than the main tracks/platforms.

However, this lower viaduct for the 3rd track/platform is cut entirely by the station building itself:

So what purpose does it serve? I kinda thought this lower viaduct is somehow connected to the main viaduct.
