Girls I confessed to a guy and it’s been days now kinda lost on what to do

I was texting the guy I’m interested in and as I realized I was actually highk crushing on him I told him over text that I was interested in him. Later that day when we were going back from school he waited for me and asked me what I meant by it so I just told him that I was interested in him as in what comes before liking someone. And he was surprised but kept smiling even tho he tried to hold it back in, he also seemed to be in a good mood as he was objectively happy/enjoying himself making jokes and laughing. Tho it’s been about 16 days since the day i told him that i was interested in him and i didn’t bring it up ever since nor did he say anything about it (btw out of those 16 days we had 9days of school break)

What do you guys think and what do I do now?
