Reinforcement plate necessary?

Do I need a reinforcement plate for my skis? I'm just about to install the InWild Simpll bindings to my Hagan RIDE 87 skis and the instructions say:

"We recommend: Robust skis with a reinforcement plate under the foot (ideally titanal) to reduce the risk of the binding pulling out. Avoid paulownia-core skis without reinforcement."

Being that this binding uses the typical 22 Designs 6 screw template, do I really need extra reinforcement? Or are they just covering their arses? I'm only 70kg, even though I do ski quite actively, sometimes moguls.

Has anyone ever seen a case of front toe bindings ripping out?
