Best tips for teaching a wheel throwing class?
I learned how to wheel throw in 2018 and quickly fell in love with the pottery and ceramics world. My dream is to have a small space to offer classes or studio memberships. But recently I was offered a wheel throwing instructor position and I really want to do it. I've never taught before but will be shadowing the studio owner for some of her classes, and she'll help me with my first few. Most of the classes are just a 2 hour intro to wheel throwing - They get to dip their toes into it and get to bring home something from the class. But they also offer 4 week courses that are more in depth. What are the best tips, techniques, advice, etc for teaching a pottery class?
